Empowerment Therapy

It is with greatest pleasure that I write this letter of endorsement for Brian J. Hubbard. I wish to point out that I was not asked to write this letter, but I was so impressed with one of his speeches, I asked if I could do anything to support him. It was so moving to talk to him about this; he is very well known in the region, yet he comes across full of humility and compassion.

I learned that Brian J. Hubbard was to be a keynote presenter at the RI State House on June 27, 2001, so I eagerly went to listen to him. I had previously read his book ‘From Emptiness to Empowerment’ and was most impressed and inspired. I have been coping with a disability for the past ten years, and Brian J. Hubbard is extremely well known in this region. I have followed him extensively in the media.

Words simply cannot describe the impact of Brian Hubbard’s speech. Put simply, he was extraordinary. What is truly unbelievable is how fluent and articulate he is for someone who is profoundly deaf (this is a fact I also learned from the Providence Journal). I had chills up and down my spine during the entire talk. Looking around the audience, I could see that many were moved to tears. Yet, he speaks from the heart and obviously has a great sense of humor, which he uses effectively in his talks. His empowerment message is so dynamic, so moving, it is hard to imagine how anyone could not be tremendously inspired and motivated by him. At the end of his talk, he received a well-deserved standing ovation. All I can say is that Brian Hubbard is the best speaker I have ever heard and he has inspired me to make the most of my own life. I only wish I could do more for him, as I believe many will benefit from his genuine knowledge and wisdom.
