Dear Madam Secretary:
I am extremely pleased to write in behalf of Brian J. Hubbard, who is considering a position with the Department of Health and Human Services. At this time, he is living and very well known in Rhode Island.
Enclosed is a copy of his Resume. Brian Hubbard has worked in the field of Clinical Social Work since 1975. He has been a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker since 1982, with experience in direct service, administration/supervision, organizational development/grant writing and ttaining/consultation. In that role, he has been involved with public relations and public speaking. He has received awards and has recently publdshed a book. His accomplishments are extraordinary, as he is the only licensed clinical social worker nationwide and has an exceptional understanding of all disadvantaged people. I signed his book by declaring him ‘a true hero’.
Brian was the President, CEO and Founder from 1989-1996 of Counseling for Independent Living, Inc., the nation's first program to provide professional counseling to the physically disabled and chronically ill.
He started his own consulting firm in 1995, Brian J. Hubbard Associates. In that business, he provides consultation and training to other professionals and agencies. His workshops have been approved for Continuing Educational Units in Rhode Island and Massachusetts.
From April 1997-April 1998, he was an Instructor at Rhode Island College, School of Social Work (graduate) Continuing Education Program.
After reviewing his Resume, I hope that you will give Brian Hubbard's credentials every consideration.
Very best wishes
Sincerely yours,
John H Chafee
